When Mr & Mrs P came to What Worktop, their vision was clear: they wanted a cohesive, timeless home where every room felt connected through the same exceptional material. The answer was Carrara marble — one of the most iconic natural stones in the world, chosen for its pure white background and signature fine grey veining.
From the statement kitchen island to the most personal corners of the home, Carrara marble runs throughout — bringing quiet luxury, consistency, and character to every surface. This is one of our most complete whole-home projects to date.

THE SPACES

Kitchen & Island
The kitchen is the centrepiece of the home — and Carrara marble makes an unmistakable statement. A full-length island in polished Carrara anchors the space, complemented by matching perimeter worktops and an upstand that runs seamlessly into the splashback.
The bold grey veining of the Carrara adds drama against the deep charcoal cabinetry, while the white ground keeps the space light and airy. Book-matched slabs ensure the veining flows continuously along every surface.

Utility Room
Even the utility room received the full Carrara treatment. A continuous run of polished marble worktop over cream shaker-style cabinets brings the same quality and care found in the kitchen to what could easily be an afterthought space.
The worktop wraps neatly around the sink area, with a subtle upstand protecting the wall. The contrast between the warm cabinetry and the cool white marble creates a bright, clean and highly practical workspace.

Dog Wash Station
Perhaps the most unique element of this project — a fully bespoke dog wash station finished entirely in Carrara marble. The worktop, splashback and floating shelf are all in matching polished stone, creating a cohesive and premium feel even in this functional utility space.
Natural stone is a practical choice here too: Carrara marble is naturally cool, easy to wipe clean, and its polished finish repels moisture beautifully. A truly luxurious touch that elevates the entire room.

Bedside Tables
Bringing the Carrara marble into the bedroom was a natural extension of the whole-home vision. Bespoke bedside tables were topped with polished Carrara stone, adding a hotel-suite quality to the master suite that ties seamlessly back to the kitchen and bathrooms.
At this scale — smaller pieces with finer detail — the beautiful veining of the Carrara truly comes into its own. Each piece is unique, as nature intended.

Bathroom Vanities
The bathrooms bring the whole-home story full circle. Polished Carrara vanity tops with twin undermount sink cutouts sit above bespoke vanity units, with a continuous upstand and backsplash in matching stone completing the suite.
The result is a spa-like environment where the marble becomes the architecture — bold, tactile, and beautifully consistent with every other surface in the home. Paired with brushed chrome fittings, the Carrara shines at its very best.
