Solid surface acrylic worktops

Solid surface (sometimes called acrylic) worktops are made from a blend of mineral powders and high-performance resins, cast into sheets and then carefully fabricated into your kitchen layout. Because the colour runs all the way through the material, joints can be bonded and polished to appear almost seamless, and you can create features like curved upstands or integrated sinks that flow smoothly into the worktop.

Finishes range from clean, solid whites and soft neutrals through to stone and terrazzo-style effects, giving you plenty of choice whether you want something minimal or more characterful. Day-to-day care is straightforward: wipe with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, and use chopping boards as you would with any premium surface. Solid surface is not heat resistant, so hot pans and trays should always go on a trivet or heat mat, but light marks and scratches can usually be refinished by a professional, meaning your worktop can often be restored to “like new” even after years of use.
